There they are. Half Dome. El Capitan. Yosemite Falls. Those places I’ve seen in photographs my whole life. Now they’re in front of me. In real life. Even more amazing than I expected. And more engaging. Not just something to look at. (More like gape at.) But a place to touch. To experience. To climb into. (And onto - check out the kids scaling the soaring granite, just like pros!) The feel of Nevada Falls mist tickling my face. The cool Merced River slipping around my ankles. The giant sequoia dwarfing me. I didn’t get this from any of those photos. None of us did.
